“Barnacle Bill won the auction at 2,600 and we agreed to meet at the Scrimshaw docks that evening. He turned up and then said he would only pay 2,000 because ‘that is what it is worth’. I said no, and he logged off. I still have the chart.”

“I did show up. The chart is a common one and 2,600 was a mistake on my part — I offered 2,000 which is the market price and he refused. Happy to complete at 2,600 if he still has it.”
